Grew up in the Houston area, attended Memorial High School (Class of '75) and practically lived at Chapelwood UMC. Educated at Lon Morris College, Stephen F. Austin State University, and Southern Methodist University (Perkins School of Theology).

Passion in Ministry: Seeing lives be transformed and people get connected/re-connected with God. Love to preach as long as it is 1) Biblical; 2) Relevant; 3)Understandable.

Love to Do When Not at Church: Spending time with family. Running. Early morning walks.  Watching sports and playing fantasy sports. Reading. Writing. Music. Spending time with others within our broader community.

Books I Have Recently Read or Am Reading or Have Recently Purchased to Read:  Live in Grace - Walk in Love by Bob Goff (or anything by Bob), Ordinary Grace by William Kent Kruger, I Think You're Wrong But I'm Listening by Sarah Stewart Holland and The Common Rule: Habits of Purpose For an Age of Distraction by Justin Whitmel Earley.

The Last Word: "Until he comes again or calls me home, you can find me filling, not killing time, so that one day he will pick me out in the lineup of the ages as one of his own. And then...it will be worth it all...to hear these words, the most precious words I can ever hear: Well done, thou good and faithful...Out-of-Control Disciple." (Leonard Sweet)

    My Passion in Ministry:

I love to be a part of a thriving congregation, seeing God work in people's lives.  I love to help guide people to a deeper understanding of the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives, so that they may encounter the living God. It is my joy to see the Holy Spirit lead people into a more beautiful and grace filled life. I also have a passion for missions, and teaching.

    A Favorite Quote:

"Did I offer peace today? Did I bring a smile to someone's face?  Did I say words of healing? Did I let go of my anger and resentment? Did I forgive? Did I love?  These are the real questions. I must trust that the little bit of love that I sow now will bear many fruits, here in this world and the world to come." - Henri Nouwen
