Important Announcements @Faith UMC

  • Reopening Faith UMC

We Are Now Open For Worship on Sundays

    9:15 and 11:15 Worship

    Limited Seating, Masks Required

At 9:15, we will gather for Contemporary Worship and at 11:15, we will gather for Traditional Worship. As that is great news for some of you, here is information that we know will speak into many of your thoughts and questions:

    * Expectations Upon Arriving at Faith: Just as it is with every other place that we enter into during these days and times, the same will be expected of everyone at Faith. We will be expecting everyone to sanitize their hands upon arrival, wear a mask while you are here for worship and practice physical distancing. As we put those practices into place in stores, restaurants and other places we may gather, it is even more so expected in a place where we proclaim to love our neighbor time and time again. We have plenty of sanitizer on hand and have masks available for those who forget to bring their own.

    * Seating in Worship: Our worship space looks radically different than last time we were able to worship together. Many of the chairs have been removed, so that rather than rope off or close certain rows, we have eliminated rows and seating to provide adequate distancing during the worship service. Our ushers will both guide you to a seat when you arrive and will guide us out of the Sanctuary following worship.

Online/Livestream Worship Still Available: Each Sunday, we will still have at least our 9:15 online service for those who are not ready to return to Faith at this time. We recommend those who are at a higher at-risk category due to age or autoimmune issues to stay home at the present time and continue to worship with us online. Also, if you happen to not feel well on a Sunday, are running a fever or have congestion or sinus issues, we encourage you to take that Sunday and worship with us online too.

    * Communion Sundays: Upon entering Faith, you will receive a Fellowship Cup which includes both the bread (wafer) and the cup (grape juice). When the time comes for us to celebrate Communion together, we will take it at the same time from our seats. You will be asked to dispose of your cup on your way out of worship.

    * Nursery, Childcare and Sunday School: When we gather in September, the only gathering that will be happening at Faith will be worship. The nursery, childcare and Sunday school classes will not be happening in the beginning. Those activities will be phased in beginning Sunday, October 4. In the meantime, children are welcome to sit with their family in worship.

    * Small Groups: Various small groups that have interest in gathering during the week will have an opportunity to meet at Faith towards the end of September as we begin to phase in small groups. The key word is "small" as some of our rooms do not have the spacing necessary for groups to gather as they normally do. Distancing will still be required within small group gatherings.

As we prepare to reopen Faith, please continue to be in prayer for our schools, churches and others that begin to open up their doors once again. May we all do all that we can to help everyone stay safe!

  • Confirmation Sunday

    September 20th at 9:15 and 11:15 am

We will be presenting our 2020 Candidates for Confirmation this Sunday, September 20th, in both services. Both services will also be live streamed for extended family and friends to view online.

  • Happy 50th Anniversary Faith UMC

    Sunday, October 4th

It is hard to believe that Faith UMC will be turning 50 years old on October 4th! To celebrate 50 years of faithful service and ministry, we will be hosting a very special 50th Anniversary Worship Service on Sunday, October 4th in both our 9:15 and 11:15 services and online. Please make plans to attend or view online!

If you have any special photos or memories that you would like to share from the past 50 years of Faith UMC, please email to: Your memory may be featured in a special video during the celebration!

If you would like to film your family saying "Happy 50th Faith UMC" please send your (horizontal) video to Jennifer Gros at the email above.

On Wednesday, October 7th, we will host a "Virtual Potluck Dinner" so that we can all have a meal together in celebration of our anniversary. Dinner will be at 6:00 pm, so make plans to attend!
