Announcements @Faith UMC

  • Lent 2020

    Tuesday, February 25 - Shrove Tuesday – 6:00 to 7:30 pm

Come enjoy a dinner of pancakes, bacon & sausage, and juice & milk as we celebrate this Lenten tradition. Donations benefit our Youth Ministries.

Wednesday, February 26 - Ash Wednesday Service at 7:00 pm

Join us Wednesday, February 26 as we begin the season of Lent with a special Ash Wednesday Service. At this service, we use ashes as a sign of our call to repent, as well as a sign of our mortality. The ashes are used to place the sign of the cross on the forehead of each person to remind ourselves of our need to repent and of our need for the forgiveness of Christ. Childcare will be provided during the service.

  • Lenten Bible Study Begins Sunday March 1

    Lenten Bible Study

"We are Beloved, A Lenten Journey"

10:15 am Sundays during Connection Hour

Join Faith UMC as we journey through Lent together as we study "We Are Beloved" March 1 through April 5 at 10:15 am Sundays in the Community Room. This 6-week Lenten journey follows stories of Jesus' experience of God's love. The incarnate Son of God was made fully human, which means that Jesus had to fully mature in strength and wisdom to learn that he was beloved. Just as Jesus learned of his belovedness, we, too, can cultivate the wisdom and knowledge that we are deeply loved.

Each week begins with a scripture passage, a weekly devotion, reflection questions, an optional prayer bead experience, and a listening meditation. Be transformed by God's love this Lenten season. Books will be available to purchase for $10.00 each. Please register on our website under Faith Groups.

  • Volunteers Needed

    Volunteer Opportunity: The Guest Center

YOU can help make a great first impression at Faith UMC

Every Sunday, guests arrive through our doors looking for a great church home. The Guest Center Ministry is vital to the first impression made at Faith. We invite you to remember what a positive experience your first Sunday at Faith was, and help someone else feel that same welcome.

Can you serve for one service at 9:15 or 11:15 on one Sunday a month? The time commitment is 20 minutes before the service and 10 minutes after the service. Training and a flexible schedule are provided. Make a difference in someone’s experience at Faith UMC by serving as a Guest Center Host. Contact Lorena at or call 281-367-7776.

Looking for Volunteers To Join Media Team

We need volunteers who can give their time to do both slides and sound. The slides are prepared in ProPresenter 6 (training available). Volunteers will need to be able to do media for both services on their rotating Sunday and may be periodically needed at other times throughout the year. If you are interested, please contact Michell Yarbrough at The system is easy to learn so please join us! We look forward to working with you.
