Worship Reset Beginning
Sunday November 29 at 9:30 am
Faith UMC Moving to One In-Person Blended Service at 9:30 amSeveral months ago, we were thrilled to be able to move forward with Worship Restart at Faith. After not gathering for in-person worship for 6 months, it has been good to be able to gather with those who were comfortable with in-person worship. Since that time, we have found the majority of persons are not ready to return quite yet. And with the numbers of cases climbing once again, we have decided to move from having two services each Sunday morning to one blended service beginning November 29, the first Sunday of Advent. This is also the beginning of our liturgical year, so it is a good time for us to begin a "new thing".
Children's Sunday School will continue to meet at 9:30 am, with Student Ministries/Youth meeting after the 9:30 am service until Noon in the Youth Building.
So join us for the First Sunday of Advent, November 29, at 9:30 AM for blended worship. The service will be live streamed at that time and as always, will be available for viewing following the service. When we find that people are once again comfortable with returning to worshipping in-person, we will go back to our two services. In the meantime, we look forward to beginning the new liturgical year with you as we prepare once again for the coming of Christ and rediscover that A Weary World Rejoices!
For several years now, our community has worked with the Women's Center to assist families during Christmas. As is our tradition, you will find a small Christmas tree covered with paper ornaments in the foyer. Each ornament represents a specific need for a “Serviced Family” “Individual” or for the “Center”.
Just select an ornament, purchase the item specified, then return that item unwrapped with the ornament taped to it. Please have all items returned to the church by Sunday, December 6th.
If you wish to provide gift cards, cash or checks for the Center's needs you may return those directly to Lorena in the church office or to any of the Pastoral staff.

Seasons Greetings Faith!
As the holiday season approaches, Interfaith of the Woodlands has kicked off their annual Christmas Gifts for Senior Citizens Program. Last year, Faith UMC adopted 10 senior citizens, and we would love to do it again this year! Given the challenges faced in 2020, it seems even more important to share a little extra love and joy with local seniors!
Adopted senior citizens will be provided with a Christmas gift of 2 gift cards ($25 to Walmart and $25 to a restaurant).
Rather than provide gift cards directly, our Moms in Faith group worked with Interfaith to set a goal for Faith UMC to adopt 10 senior citizens through their direct giving weblink. If you would like to sponsor a senior, please donate via this link:
Please select “adopt a senior”, and also comment “Faith UMC” in the comment field so that we can track our goal of adopting 10 seniors.
Please make all donations by November 30th. Thank you and please contact Tina Winter with Mom's in Faith if you have any questions or if you would like to donate via a different method. Her cell is 832-259-2627. Thank you!

Looking for Volunteers To Join Media Team
We need volunteers who can give their time to do both slides and sound. Volunteers will need to be able to do media for both services on their rotating Sunday and may be periodically needed at other times throughout the year. If you are interested, please contact Michell Yarbrough at email@example.com. The system is easy to learn so please join us! We look forward to working with you.
