FAITH STUDENT MINISTRY

Life has a purpose and we have a responsibility to help our youth REACH, CONNECT, GROW, SERVE, and HONOR God in their lives. This is accomplished by focusing on helping the students understand that we are created in God’s image and we have the opportunity to share God’s love with the world; focusing on understanding the basic need that people have to be deeply connected with others in significant relationships; focusing on the truth that we were created to know God and grow spiritually by spending time with God; exploring the reality that God’s unique design provides us with the privilege to serve others; and focusing on the truth that God rested on the seventh day to show us the importance of taking time to stop the busyness of life and focus on what’s important.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for

the believers through your speech, behavior, love, faith, and purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12

Spotlight on Faith Student Ministry Students: Rising Stars in Theater

We are thrilled to celebrate some of our talented Faith Student Ministry students who recently participated in York Junior High's theatre's UIL performance of "Peter Pan."

Five of our very own, Violet Vidonic, Caroline Niles, Lizzie Wenzel, Emily Alexander and Jackson Green, participated in the school's production, which was performed on the Grand Oaks High School stage last Saturday.

The performance was magical, with Violet Vidonic taking on the iconic role of Peter Pan and Caroline Niles as Wendy. Violet and Caroline captivated the audience and judges, earning the All-Star Cast award! Congratulations to these young ladies for their outstanding achievements on stage!

We are so proud of Violet, Caroline, Lizzie, Emily, and Jackson for their hard work, dedication, and talent. Their performance is a true testament to our students' incredible accomplishments.

Confirmation at Faith is a time for our students to build their Christian foundation and prepare them to become Faith United Methodist Church members. We discuss various aspects of the Christian Faith and learn about other religious beliefs. The idea is for your child to develop their Faith and to understand the importance of being part of the church community. If you have a child in 6th grade or higher who would like to participate in Confirmation, PLEASE SIGN UP HERE.

Where's jesus?

Where's Jesus is a new fun program we are starting at The 412. Every student will receive a small Jesus figurine to take with them everywhere. The task is once a week every student must take one photo their Jesus doing something awesome. Once they take a photo they then are to post it to Instagram or Facebook tagging 412students. If the student does not have social media, the can simply send it via Remind to Emmie. Each student's Jesus must come to Wednesday night youth group or Sunday morning Sunday school to complete that week's task. If all is completed at the end of the week, the student's name will be placed in a drawing. At the end of the month, we will draw for a gift card. In addition to the prize, one student with the coolest picture of Jesus will be featured in our church-wide @Faith email.
